"This was a very nice hotel on the banks of the Douro river, excellent restaurant with delicious Portuguese wines. My only complaint is that the restaurant doesn't open until 07:30 for breakfast so I was offer a reception breakfast which truly terrible. Plastic long life white bread, processed ham and cheese and sugary snack, and terrible coffee. Shame as that's what I remember but otherwise was excellent. "

"The Hotel Jaguar is located close to a metro stop in a nice neighborhood. You can get fown to the Douro River very easily from there. The hotel is comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They all speak excellent English. The restaurant served us an excellent dinner and the array of breakfast items available was extraordinary. We enjoyed the complementary glass of 10 year old port (served chilled! Yum!). The staff helped us arrange taxi service and was super helpful advising us how to get around town. We enjoyed our stay at Jaguar very much. "
