Had a great stay at the Kiwi. Darina, the owner, offered to fetch me at the train station and drove me to her pension. No charge. The room was clean, comfortable, and neatly appointed. Owned & operated by a local family that did an excellent job renovating the property while preserving and promoting the history of the area. Was wonderful. Was had to wait awhile to check in, but there was self-service wine and we sat outside in the garden on the beautiful sunny afternoon. The rooms were large and lovely, very comfy beds, large bathroom, the heaters were plenty warm. We did a tour of the winery production and had a heuriger dinner that evening. Situated in a beautiful paet of the Weinvertel, and there are ample opportunities to hike and ride bike. Lots of other wineries nearby as well.

I arrived after midnight. I was welcomed by a very nice and welcoming lady, I later found out she is security. I was rapidly accomodated in a very nice, clean, and big room with a larger than normal tub. Everything was sparkling clean and brilliant. The lady adviced me where to park and alerted me about the free made to order breakfast. I chose the eggs and bacon platter.
