"My stay at the Terra d'Amuri was great. The location is perfect within easy walking distance of the Duomo and the beautiful old section of Catania. My stay was made even better by the wonderful and gracious owner, Loredana, who spoke perfect English and was always ready to help with any questions I had about sights and transportation. "Description never mentioned that apartment had 5 flights (albeit short steps) of stairs without an elevator. It said there were 4 bedrooms and 3 baths; actually, 2 bedrooms on main floor with ONE bathroom, 1 bedroom up another flight of stairs with its own bathroom; it was the only bedroom that had 2 beds (one queen and one twin) so the 2 male friends had to take that one. The so called third bathroom was on the top floor across the kitchen and laundry room, designed to be a maid's bathroom,...

"This is the best apartment I stayed in during my trip to Sicily. Fabio's apartment was in the perfect area for my stay. The view was amazing, the terrace was incredible, the king size bed was really comfortable. As soon as you step out onto the street you are immersed in the vibrancy of the main street of the old town. Fabio was a really nice host, he helped me with lots of tips and information. Thank you!!"

"Relatively clean aside from dirt on floors and the white stain on the couch. Biggest issues were: * consistent strong sewage smell in main bathroom, bordering on nauseating. * Cheap soaps * pillows were horrible. Like a rock. * bed was angled in middle -- like sleeping in a burrito * no instructions on entering -- building door key did not work well, had to play with it for 10 min to figure out how to make it work. Also took a while to figure out the entryway lights for the building, etc....

"The location was amazing! Close to everything we wanted to see in Catania and lots of restaurants to choose from nearby. The apartment is very spacious and homey, we had a great stay!"

"Modern and sleek kitchen, large terrace with a great view. It is a few minutes walk to markets and excellent bars and restaurants. The host provided the opportunity to go on day trips and was very helpful. Would stay again."

"This was an extraordinary hotel in the heart of Catania. Across the street is a La Rinascente. (Italy’s Major Department Store) Max Mara and Foot Locker are on the first floor before you enter and Sephora is across the street. The rooms are spacious, with an amazing bed and deep soaker tub. The price tag is a steep, I was fortunate that I had Expedia Credit, I will say if I was not on a budget I would easily stay here and pay the price. It was worth every penny! "

"Great hotel with lovely rooms and friendly staff. Easy access into sea via steps with lifeguard present for safety. Large 28m pool with good depth and very clean was also great for swimming. Pool bar had a huge range of cocktails and complimentary snacks were a great idea. Room large, very well presented and clean. Breakfast was generous and had something for everyone. Parking was a little difficult. Limited space, very tight access from top level. Took some getting used too. Hotel was very good value and we would stay again. "

"This hotel just prives that you should not judge a book by its cover. On the outside it looks like an old run down building. On the inside it is one of the most luxurious hotels i have ever stayed in. The hospitality there is second to none. We were leaving extra early in the morning. They had my car there all ready to go with 2 bags full of breakfast items. What a way to wow their guests. I highly recommend this hotel."

"The hotel is within easy walking distance of the airport bus stop if you haven’t much baggage. It’s very close to the metro station which is one stop from the train station. This was very convenient for me since I used Catania as a base to explore Taormina and Siracusa. It is around 15 minutes walk from the duomo and main tourist sites. The restaurant behind the hotel had live music outdoors but it was quiet by 11 pm. The breakfast buffet was very good with a fine array of choices. Management was very prompt in replying to queries on WhatsApp. Highly recommended. "
