Great hotel in a central location, close to everything. We even rented bikes right by hotel to ride to Stanley Park. Tons of great eateries close by as well. Not a fancy hotel but clean and safe.

Quiet, clean, and affordable! We had a 4th floor corner suite with stunning views of English Bay and easy access to the bike path and all the great food and beach walking that the neighborhood has to offer. The staff even helped us store our bikes after a 2-day trip from Seattle.

Room location was completely worth it. However, this is an old apartment turned into a hotel, which is very outdated. So if you can't deal with flaking paint or outdated furniture/appliances, then this is not the hotel for you. The staff were very nice, and the street food nearby was a huge plus. However the best thing about this hotel is the proximity to English Bay Beach and Stanley Park.

Very old property - the room we had did not have view of beach but did have big windows. A little noisy at night. Very dated - needs an upgrade as quite tired. Linen etc was clean but it felt very drab. Staff were friendly and helpful and stored our luggage for us and arranged taxi.

I love the location…the place to be in Vancouver. This was my third stay , all have which have been exactly what I need n accommodation. The suite was appointed with a full kitchen and there is Safeway two blocks away. I’ve stayed at the two hotels that are within a block, and the English Bay Hotel offers much more for much less. Highly recommended unless you expect a five star experience.

The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. Unfortunately, that was all overshadowed by the very poor condition of everything. The beds were actually falling apart and the walls and floors were badly damaged. They desperately need to put money into maintenance and upgrading the rooms.
