Wonderful hotel and staff. This hotel is in a great location, with many restaurants, coffee shops, and other amenities nearby. Our room was beautiful. We were welcomed at the front desk by Arina, who was super helpful. She listened to our interests, and guided us to areas to visit. We can't say enough good things about her. She made us feel like we were coming home, rather than checking into a hotel. Thank you as well Arina for the treats and map you had delivered to our room. We will be back! FIVE STARS!

This property strikes that rare balance between being impeccably designed and deeply comfortable — stylish without ever feeling cold or pretentious. The hotel itself is beautiful: thoughtful architecture, warm materials, and those little details that make a stay feel intentional rather than generic. Every space feels curated, calm, and quietly luxurious. What truly sets The Douglas apart, though, is the staff. Every single interaction — from the concierge to the front desk — was warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Nothing felt transactional. Questions were met with enthusiasm, requests were handled effortlessly, and there was a real sense that the team takes pride in creating an exceptional guest experience. It’s the small touches that linger: the attention to detail, the kindness, the sense of ease throughout the stay. You don’t just feel like a guest here — you feel looked after. An outstanding property with an equally outstanding team. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and will absolutely be recommending The Douglas to friends and family visiting Vancouver.
