If you have the means bring a space heater because the place gets cold during winter! Other than that the place was nice and cozy enough for what you pay for and the property manager and his family were super cool and very helpful. He went the extra mile making sure I felt welcome and I knew all the cool spots around the city. Will definitely recommend if you're just passing through!! Shoot I may book again myself

A cheap option to see Vancouver, close the the skytrain great if you like backpackers type places which i do. Nice locals pub nearby and had a pleasant 3 nights.

The linens are nice and clean and the beds are very comfortable. This is a home that has been converted to a hostel. It's not fancy, but it's perfect for a backpacker's budget and is kept clean and tidy.

Much better than what I expected.

A very good place to stay on a budget, the area and access to sky train gives the place an extra star. It is a walking distance to a lot of places. The check in was quick and easy via WhatsApp, even the directions to the place were via WhatsApp. I will definitely go back and stay there on my next visit.

Our stay at the Vancouver Backpackers near Metrotown was great! Checking in was easy, the room was all we needed, the location was so easy for us to take the Sky Train into the city and it was nice and quiet for sleeping. We did not use the kitchen but it looked well equipped.

Fantastic stay for what we needed. We felt safe with code locks on both front and room doors. Check in was easy and staff quick to respond. We didnt use the common areas much but the living room looked cozy and standard kitchen. Just what we needed for a place to crash after an event

I really enjoyed this hostel. Its location, being close to the skytrain and multiple bus lines, was really good. The owner was very friendly and other occupants were eager to talk. While searching, I did not find an equivalent value for the price as well. Overall had a good experience here.

Lovely quiet neighbourhood. I slept very well every night. Train station, bus stops, a mall, and many lovely cafes and restaurants within a fifteen minute walk. No front desk, everything done over messenger apps, but the response time was very quick and the owner was helpful. You need $1 coins to use the washer/dryers.

The room was kind of messy and not completely clean. Cobwebs in the closet for example. Some of the bathrooms were better kept than others. Overall an okay place to stay short-term or if you do mind a messy area. Service was good and easy to communicate with.

Excellent option for late arrivals in Vancouver! I traveled from Ontario to attend a sporting event and arrived in Vancouver around 10:30 PM. I had a terrible experience in the past with another place that didn’t allow check-ins after 11 PM — I lost my money and had to find a hotel at the last minute. Thankfully, this time was completely different! The host was very understanding, and the late check-in went smoothly. This kind of flexibility is incredibly important for those coming from far away and arriving late at night. The place was very well-organized, clean, and cozy. The beds were neatly made with clean sheets and comfortable pillows. The environment was quiet and welcoming — perfect for resting after a long day of travel or work. I highly recommend this place, especially for anyone who needs flexible check-in hours. I’ll definitely stay here again next time!

For anyone finding a quick place to stay, i recommend this! Owners are very helpful and informative! Came here for just a concert for judt 2 nights and its been amazing! Everything is walkable from the cafe and the mall! Their area is very safe! Would comr back again!

I am always nervous about staying in Hostels, but this was a great location! The common rooms were clean and well organized, the host was responsive, helpful, and friendly, and the place was a short walk from great food and public transport. I enjoyed my stay here thoroughly!
