"Very well equipped lodge, clean & comfortable and we loved the veranda. We spend a few nights with our family and enjoyed the hiking as well as boating/swimming in the lake. It’s in the middle of nowhere and deafening quiet.
Point of attention, do your groceries shopping before you arrive, it’s quite a long drive. But that’s part of the isolated charm."

It's a historic hotel, but has been carefully renovated and modernized. Loved the included dinner in addition to breakfast. Only negative was the ongoing railroad improvements construction across the street, but hopefully that will be concluded soon.

We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptionally good - so friendly and helpful. The location is great for exploring the Dalsland area. We were able to hike, swim, paddle board, and kayak. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent. We'll be back!

The hotel seems large and a bit of a maze, but we liked our room, especially with a little balcony to look over the river. The hotel is very nicely situated, right by the river with plenty of walking opportunities nearby. The breakfast had a huge variety as well. The fitness center was a bit cramped unfortunately with limited though decent equipment. Make sure to pre-book parking if needed, though we used an offsite lot and that worked fine. The spa seemed to be busy but we weren’t able to check...

I had no idea what to expect when visiting, as it was a work trip. But it was utterly charming and they served some of the best food I’ve ever had. The surrounding countryside was beautiful too and I e never experienced such little traffic. Fantastic experience!
