"I stayed in room 33. Upon entering it reeked of cleaning products, but at least I knew the room had been cleaned recently. I had to open up all the windows and turn on the fan to get fresh air inside. There is no AC unit, only a floor fan that they provide. Fortunately it wasn’t too hot when I stayed here at the beginning of February. There was no working ventilation fan in the bathroom so I also had to use the floor fan to air out the bathroom after my showers. The ocean view from my room was great. On the weekends and some nights it gets SUPER loud and doesn’t quiet down till around 12. It’s also pretty loud during the day so taking a nap was difficult.
Staff was super friendly and helpful but I did end up waiting probably 20 minutes to get checked in because the elevator was broken & the front desk person was helping another couple carry their luggage upstairs. He also helped me with my bag since I had to go up 3 flights of stairs which I very much appreciated!
I would highly recommend not eating at any of the restaurants close to the hotel. A lot of of them add on a 20% gratuity onto the bill automatically and in my experience the food was not worth the extra cost. (VBC)
In my room was a pretty large refrigerator and a microwave, as well as a side table and chairs. The television didn’t work but I wasn’t in my room enough to care. Overall for the price and location I do recommend staying here during the cooler months"
