This property is very beautiful and well maintained. Although it is not convenient to Venice they do offer limited shuttle service. The rooms were spacious and decorated beautifully. If I had 1 complaint it would be the menu in the restaurant. It was very eclectic and exotic for us.
The Barbarich is a beautiful hotel. The grounds are lovely and the breakfast was incredible. The pool is an outdoor pool, and although it too looked clean and inviting we stayed there end of September and it was too cool to use an outdoor pool that is not heated.
The hotel is also in a town that is close to the airport (VCE), but there is nothing around it. We took a half day trip by car to Padua, which was about a 30-35 minute drive with toll. So, hotel and grounds and staff and breakfast, very nice. Restaurant for dinner was good as well and the location is good for an airport run, but another town may be close to the airport as well with more things to do.
Good hotel and clean . You just have to have patience when you waited on your check-in . We waste time waiting to be ready instead of check -in 2:00 pm we check in at 5:00 pm . But the breakfast buffet is good and food on the site restaurant is good for dinner we ate lunch but the food was okay . Staff is friendly and the hotel is clean and pool is nice and clean free shuttles to the Piazza Roma from the hotel . You have to book ahead of time to get the time spot you prefer and the driver is nice the area where you can explore Venice on the way to St. Marco. You can walked to the mall from the hotel and it’s safe at night . We enjoyed our stayed in the hotel .
Loved every day in the Villa. Staff was the best. Very close driving distance from Venice as well as other locations for sightseeing. Definitely going back to this hotel.
Disappointing value: tired room, no dinner service, no warning
We paid around €460 for two nights at Hotel Barbarich and, sadly, it didn't feel like good value.
There were some positives. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, and breakfast was good, with pleasant staff serving it. Some of the other staff were noticeably less friendly, though.
The room wasn't well cleaned. Some of the wooden skirting and fittings were swollen and damaged, and the bathroom sink taps leaked. There was no milk for the tea and coffee. These are small things, but at this price they add up.
The advertised shuttle to Venice was fully booked, so we couldn't use it.
The biggest letdown came on Monday evening. There was no restaurant, kitchen or room service at all, and nobody mentioned this when we left for Venice that morning. When we got back, the hotel offered no help or alternative beyond suggesting we order pizza on Deliveroo, which is what we ended up doing. A simple heads-up that morning would have let us plan dinner in Venice.
With better maintenance, housekeeping and communication, this could be a pleasant stay, but it needs a lot of improvement to justify the price.
The grounds were better maintained than the hotel.
Villa Barbarich is a lovely place to stay. The building has unique characteristics and it is in a quiet location. Staff are very kind and helpful. We would definitely return and recommend this as a “home away from home”.
The property was beautiful and very close to Venice. The service was exceptional. The included breakfast had a variety for every taste. I highly recommend Villa Barbarich.
We spent two wonderful nights at Villa Bararich! It was beautiful and terrifically clean and quiet. The breakfast was yummy and evening meal very good. The shuttle driver and front desk staff were very helpful with transportation and meal arrangements.
Very comfortable hotel, suitable for vacation and leisure, to relax the body and mind. We feel that the atmosphere of the hotel is like returning home, very comfortable. Thank you very much Sarah she is nice and responsible in her work
Beautiful place to stay, close to Venice, but in a quiet secluded area. Second floor room was large with high ceilings. On-site parking was available for those driving in.
We loved the villa’s classic old world charm and modern amenities. Even though it’s not located directly in Venice, the free shuttle service makes it a great alternative at a reasonable price. The breakfast buffet was the best I’ve ever had during my travels in Europe, and dinner service was equally impressive. Our wait staff, Ilisa and Francesca, were professional, attentive and friendly. We’ll choose Villa Barbarich again for our next visit to Venice.
Beautiful hotel, fantastic breakfast buffet to enjoy and very welcoming staff. We are vegetarian so there were a couple of options but not enough option to keep us eating in the restaurant each night. We had our dinner on the first night and went elsewhere on the others.
Stayed in a big loft like room. Nice big bed that was very comfortable and quiet. The pool was terrific and peaceful. Great breakfast. We stayed here because we were on a road trip and wanted to be close to Venice but have parking and space. It exceeded my expectations. Good value.
Free shuttle , taxi service for a fee , free breakfast each morning and bar but no restaurant. Need to taxi a taxi to get around you can order food and have it delivered. But we will stay again .
A little out of the way.
The shuttle was convenient

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
We liked our stay at Villa Barbarich this August. The history, property and surrounding area are so peaceful! The staff were kind and helpful as well. The only negative was that we felt the carpet in the rooms was very worn and in need of replacement. The bathroom lighting was also very dim. Older eyes need better lighting. Other than that, we enjoyed the villa.
The 2 staff at reception were excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Above and beyond what was expected.
My only complaint was that the pool wasn’t open, which was one of the main reasons I booked this hotel. Apparently it doesn’t open until May.
