You'll have the entire house boat to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Your Venice Destination

The Dorado is a 2 story houseboat located on C Dock in the Venice Marina. All the comforts of home including:

3 bedrooms & 2 1/2 baths.

Bedroom (1) Includes 1 Full size bed along with 1 Twin
Bedroom (2) Includes 1 Full size bed & 2 Twin beds
Bedroom (3) Includes 1 Queen with seating area with 2 chairs & table.

There are NO bunk beds.

The houseboat is equipped with a full kitchen, washer & dryer, 400lb ice machine, fish cleaning table, Dish TV, BBQ grill. . You are able to dock your boat on either the East or West side. Just bring your tackle and groceries and you are ready to go.

Check in time is 3pm and check out time is 10am

The camp is first class. Everything you need for a wonderful time fishing or just enjoying Venice. Mr. Atkins was very gracious and accommodating. My family and i will definitely be back. I highly recommend this well maintained camp on the water in Venice.

Fishing Camp

This place was exactly what we needed for our short fishing trip. The place is clean, and the location was ideal. The owner was amazingly responsive and easy to work with. I'm looking forward to future trips at this location!

Great location

We had family down for a fishing trip. Charters picked us up at the house! House was well maintained and had everything we needed. 2.5 baths is a huge plus as well. Would definitely rent again if we return.

Great spot and convenient: clean, good size for larger groups, and within walking distance to the marina and restaurant. Our inshore fishing guide picked us up right at the back door. Nice ice machine too. Enjoyed watching the tuna boats coming into the marina in the afternoon. Doug is great, A++

Awesome time on the bayou

Fished everyday and killed the reds. Accommodations were perfect on the Dorado and everyone thought it was the best boat we’ve rented so far. We’ll be back.

Perfect spot for going Fishing

Had an amazing stay, the owner was phenomenal to deal with, could not have been better, had some rough weather and went back and forth with owner until the captain decided we had a good enough weather window and were going to send it, we fished with Bob Hovey at LA Bluewater charters and this spot could not possibly be better located to fish with those guys as you walk right out the front door and step on there boat because that’s right where the store them, house boat had everything we needed for our stay and was cleaner and nicer then we even expected the group gave it a 10/10 and will most definitely be returning here for any trip to venice in the future regardless of size of our party

Our very experienced guide had not picked up fishermen from this location before. We fed him a couple of dinners and he was very impressed with the accommodations compared to nearby locations. There were only two of us in this large floating house but, we thoroughly enjoyed every square foot! Location to Crawgators bar/resturaunt is a plus.We usually cook extravagant dinners and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, cooking sheets, etc. This was our third trip to Venice for fishing. We will only stay here from now on.

Perfect location for fishing from Venice

The property owner is outstanding. He communicated regularly with us as we watched for Hurricane Francine to pass. The houseboat has been well maintained and looks the same as when I stayed there 6 years ago. The houseboat is comfortable, spacious, and laid out well. The floor plan allows for everyone to participate in cooking, watching football, and reliving the day’s fishing. We also enjoyed watching all the boat traffic from the back porch. It is the perfect base for fishing from Venice. I will stay here the next time I am back to fish.
