Très bon séjour

Hôtel situé au calme, à quelques kilomètres seulement du centre-ville de Verdun. Facile d'accès avec un grand parking. Les chambres sont confortables et impeccables, le service excellent.

Hotel Orchidees

Having no prior travel to Europe, I felt the hotel, the owners, and the staff went out of their way to ensure our experience was superb. The cuisine was excellent, the rooms were clean, comfortable, and easily accessible. The owners helped us get local information about the region and the Verdun battlefields that we visited. They treated us like relatives from America and thru the use of a translation app, we could talk about our experiences. I believe that when I think of France, every experience will always be compared to my stay in the Hotel Orchidees since they have set the standard for hospitality.

Convenable pour une nuit mais pas plus. On entend tout le monde dans les couloirs et dans les chambres. Pas de clim , bon courage pour dormir en été. Sinon le cadre est charmant.

Aftensmaden i restauranten var ingen succes: saltede bøffer, der var skåret forkert ud, tørre pommesfrites og en skefuld salat, ingen sovs, væde eller andet dertil. Poolen var lækker, men der manglede solsenge.

Ne correspond pas à un 3 étoiles. Chambre qualifiée de " majestueuse" abusivement, petite, mal équipée en rangements et Salle de bain minuscule avec un lave main en guise de lavabo. Insonorisation avec les bruits de couloirs inexistante. Literie inconfortable, avec une alaise plastique type "hôpital" qu'il a fallu enlever.

Near Verdun Battlefields

The staff were friendly and helpful, able to help with English when my basic French couldn’t get me by. Our room was not huge, but we don’t need big rooms for just the two of us. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The hotel is quiet and has a nice territorial view with a pool. It’s within a few minutes drive from the battlefields of Verdun so you’ll be there quickly for touring. It is not in downtown Verdun so if you are looking for a city hotel this one is not for you. But if you’d like a nice, quiet hotel with a fabulous restaurant on site that serves breakfast, too. This is a great choice!

For my purposes - visiting the Verdun WWI sites, the location of the hotel was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful with brochures, advice. Too tired at end of day to go out for dinner. so dined in. It turned into a 2-hour affair - seemed a bit much.
