The Desler. Sort of an odd experience on a number of levels. An interesting building, with some lovely features, like a very nice place to eat breakfast overlooking its own olive orchard. The rooms were fine, if a bit strangely lit, and lacking amenities other than body wash (no shampoo or lotion, etc). The property is far enough out from the center of Verona that you either need to drive or get a cab, and there is very little immediately around it. The service, though well-meaning, was sort of strange. The breakfast buffet was pleasant enough, with coffee drinks available upon request but no cooked options from a kitchen, and then a 30 Euro charge for breakfast that was not expected, regardless of what you consumed (I had two cappuccinos...). The place feels like a property that has had a lot of work done to it, and that has been opened for customers a little bit before all the wrinkles have been ironed out.

Disappointing

Frankly I was disappointed of this B&B after reading all the positive reviews. This ancient villa was renovated into a modern house with interesting architectural features. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. On arrival, our host immediately dragged us into a conversation about the European geo-political climate, citing there’s little hope for future generations etc. Just what you need on your holiday, right? The lobby hall was often full of cigarette smoke. The breakfast was mediocre at best. The air conditioner didn’t work properly (this was during the heat wave) and it was so loud it was hard to sleep. Our balcony was dirty and poorly maintained. There was no shampoo or conditioner (you’d expect them in this price range). No restaurant on site (based on breakfast quality we wouldn’t give it a try even if there was one). The list goes on.. Needless to say we won’t be back.

Ich kann es jedem nur empfehlen. Alberto, der Eigentümer ist so eine gute Seele,…, Danke für alles. Er wusste immer einen GUTEN RAT,… hatte viele Vorschläge in und um Verona,….Wir kommen mit Sicherheit wieder. Es passte einfach alles um vom Alltag herunterzufahren.

베로나에서 즐기는 찐 이탈리아 감성❤️

일단 이 숙소는 한국인이 별로 오지 않는곳이라 한국어 리뷰가 없더라구요 그래서 저만 알기 넘 아쉬워서 리뷰 씁니다.! 일단 여기는 정확히 말하면 호텔은 아닙니다. 하지만 전 개인적으로 이런 스타일의 숙소도 유럽에서 경험해보면 넘 좋다고 생각해요. 객실이 적은만큼 관리가 넘 깨끗하게 잘되어있고 야외에서 먹는 조식은 정말 유럽감성 제대로 입니다. 호스트 알베르토도 넘 나이스하고 강아지도 있는데 넘 귀여워요 ㅎㅎㅎ 단점은 사실 위치인데, 렌트카 없으면 불편해요. 그렇지만 그걸 잊을만큼 다른것들이 넘 좋았어서 강추합니다. 개인적으로 2박이상은 여기서 보내야 이 감성 제대로 느낄수 있을거라고 생각해요! 한국분들 이탈리아 투어에 지쳐있을때 요기 요셔서 푹쉬시고 가시면 귀국하시고도 계속 기억에 남으실거에요. 강추합니다❤️

skuffende oplevelse med den pæne bygning og pris

ved afsked nævnte jeg overfor ejer, at der var myrer overalt på værelset og udendørs. hans svar, var der har været givet gift. derefter kom sprøgsmålet fra ham, har i lagt noget sødt eller andet på værelset eller i skraldespanden. der bliver ikke gjort rent på værelset, ej heller givet en påmindelse om det ved ankomst. dog står det med småt på et skilt i A4 størrelse. korrekt at andre har skrevet, at han kan være svær at finde. morgenmaden for 15 eur pr person er underalt kritik. burde være gratis - da udvalget er meget lille, og af ringe kvalitet. stedet har ikke noget køkken, eller bar. meget larm fra cikader, var for mig medvirkende til at udsigten ikke kunne nydes. endvidere så virker " ejer"til at være ligeglad med gæsterne og deres kritik. en skam da stedet har en god charme, men bliver ødelagt af myrer, ac virker ikke optimal, da gemt under en gipsvæg med to meget små huller. ingen luft wller ventilation den kunstneriske hall.

Roadtrip durch Norditalien

Das Delsor Manor ist ein sehr gediegenes und stilvolles Hotel nahe Verona. Das Entree die Lobby und die Zimmer sind grosszügig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, alles in einer ehemaligen Zisterne. Das Gastgeberpaar ist äusserst charmant und hat viele gute Tipps für Restaurants. Das Frühstück nimmt man in der wunderschönen gepflegten Gartenanlage ein. Wir werden das Delser jederzeit gerne weiter empfehlen.

Beautiful villa

The Delser is a beautiful country villa just 5 miles from the center of Verona. It’s set up on a hill, overlooking beautiful vineyards and very peaceful. It’s far enough away that you can escape from the tourists but you can easily get back to the main tourist attractions. We had a car which made it easier, especially as there is plenty of free parking on the premises. The rooms are spotlessly clean. They have all of the modern comforts while retaining a rustic charm. Only negative point was the check-in process. There must have been a miscommunication between hotels.com and the Delser as when we arrived there was no one around to greet us and check us in. There is no formal “reception” area with computers etc so it’s important they are ready for your arrival. We just had to wait around until someone found us eventually! But this really shouldn’t detract from what was a wonderful stay at a beautiful villa.
