There is a tiny restaurant built into a ravine overlooking a waterfall and natural pools, which serves traditional local polenta with various toppings such as Italian sausage, local cheeses, ribs, or sautéed mushrooms. The setting is magical and the food is delicious. Makes for a great hike from Varenna for lunch, then continue up the hill to Castello DI Vezio for unbeatable views of the lake.
