"This cottage is absolutely precious! From the morning and evening deer sightings in the yard to the cleanliness and comfort of the interior, beds, and lounging/ den area it was nearly perfect. Hostess Carri has thought of everything to make this a delightful stay for anyone wanting to visit the area and to attend New River Gorge. AND it is pet-friendly! The trailhead to our chosen hiking trail was nearly within walking distance! Should we ever revisit the area we will most definitely return to...

12. Black Bear Cabin, private and secluded!

Hico

"Our family enjoyed the quiet cabin. Only 25 min from our rafting tour. The fireplace gave off a lot of heat and the hot tub was also nice for warming up and relaxing after rafting. Memory foam beds were firm but comfy. The attention to detail with all the bears in the decor was a nice touch, along with the handmade soaps. I would recommend Apple Maps instead of google, which took us to the neighboring cabin."

Adventures on the Gorge

10/10 Excellent

"Close to hiking and bridge. Park well maintained"

Quality Inn New River

10/10 Excellent

"Property was very nice. Very close to the new river gorge bridge & lots of great hiking trails. Breakfast was very nice and we ate dinner one night at the restaurant there and it was good. Lots of locals there. The room was clean and the bed was very comfy. Staff were great to talk with about the area. We would stay there again"

Lester Lodge minutes to New River Gorge. Charming 5 bedroom house on 4.5 acres

10/10 Excellent

"Everything about this property was great. There were 4 of us..just the girls. Plenty of space, very comfortable and spotless. Very large and well stocked kitchen for a crowd. All communication was fantastic. Would absolutely rent this property again."

Hampton Inn Summersville

8/10 Good

"This was the second Hampton Inn I stayed in during my recent trip. Both places, including this one and the one in Hendersonville NC had dogs that were barking near my room. For this hotel I told the staff and they paid a visit or called since the barking stopped. I don't agree with the pet friendly policy, I'm allergic to dogs and cats and the last thing I want to hear is barking while on vacation. Otherwise it was a very nice stay but not sure I will stay at any more Hamptons."

A WV Cabin in the Woods located between Summersville Lake & The New River Gorge

10/10 Excellent

"This was a nice cozy cabin. It is hard to get to in the dark, so we recommend getting to it for the first time in daylight if you aren't used to driving wv country roads! Beautiful area and definitely worth the stay!"
