"What a perfect place for a getaway! It was even better than described. The directions and instructions were easy to navigate. The cottage was clean, bright, spacious and comfortable. Everything we needed was available, and amenities close by. Isabelle was so gracious, accommodating, and kind. Communication was quick and easy, any questions were answered so quickly. Our only regret is we couldn't fly our dogs out to enjoy--we would rebook in a heartbeat! Thank you so much!"

"Very clean and comfortable room, especially the bed. Staff were good during check-in despite a trainee not knowing how to deal with pre-check in situations but he will get to learn. Parking was ample and easy to get in and out of. Did not have any meals at the hotel as found the menu to be very pricy."

"The cabin is a charming get-away, nestled on the canal. I spent every night watching the stunning sunset views, a burning wood in the firepit to stay warm while the stars come out. If you grew up in a simpler time, or are looking for a place to slow down and appreciate the little things, this is the place to be. The host, Wally, is very kind to stop by and check-in the first night, and was helpful with recommending food nearby and how to get around. I look forward to going back with my family when I'm not traveling for work, so they can experience the charm and tranquility of the cabin. Thank you again for extending your hospitality and trusting me with the place, I am grateful for the nostalgia and can't wait to return."

"This property is very well maintained and very clean considering the vintage exterior and interior of the motel. This is perfect place to stay if you just need to sleep and go. The only concerned I have is the fact the owner scanned my drivers license and credit card to his computer, I was a little shocked to see my driver license on his screen. He assured me it gets deleted when I depart. Maybe I'm too paranoid or maybe because my credit card was compromised twice this year. I don't mind showing my ID and putting my card in the machine, but not saved on a computer."

"What a beautiful spot and a rare gem with a huge games room. We had a great time staying on big Rideau, we had three families staying together with 4 kids aged 5-14, we just wished we had booked it for longer. The house is beautiful and very nicely appointed, tons of activities for the kids, they had a blast with the games room, the arcade and the pool. Everything is setup to accommodate large gatherings and the host is quick to communicate and support. Bonus amenities are the beautiful trails at the nearby conservation area and there is a boat launch not far away in Portland (although there is a small launch at the property that could accommodate shallow draft boats.)."

"Nice clean bright warm rustic log house with large backyard for our 4 dogs to run around. Good size bedrooms with a loft and bathrooms. Kitchen and dining area enough for group 8. Large family room with cozy fireplace. We enjoyed our stay, and with nice pre-fall weather visiting Perth and around. Host Shannon was accommodating answering our questions quickly."
