The hotel Karntnerhof is an excellent boutique hotel in a quiet street but very close to cathedral and best pedestrian walkways in Vienna. The staff is friendly and helpful and the rooms are quiet away from the crowds. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be in the inter city of Vienna but close to main attractions and main public transportation to the palaces that are outside the inter city

Loved the charm of the hotel. The staff was extraordinarily helpful and kind. Breakfast was wonderful!! I want to come back to Vienna just to stay at this hotel!! The neighborhood was perfect in the old town area and quiet.

We had a very pleasant stay. The air conditioning worked well, which made the room comfortable even during hot weather. The bed was very comfortable, and the room itself was spacious with plenty of space to relax. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and we would be happy to stay here again.

Very central to the city centre, only 15 minutes walk but surrounded by shops and restaurants nearby. Very clean and friendly boutique style hotel. Breakfast was a pleasant experience with a good variety of food, with polite and efficient staff. The hotel does not have a bar or restaurant but there is a traditional Viennese restaurant just next door serving very good meals at reasonable prices. Only thing missing was a kettle in the room to make hot drinks but apart from this I would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff was fantastic--top to bottom they were friendly and helpful. Great room; comfortable bed; central location; very clean; very quiet; a good value. A physical refreshing would make this a 5-star rating, for example replacing the carpet on the main staircase, fill in missing tiles at the shower floor. All told, I would stay here again.

It was so nice to have assistance with our luggage to the room without asking. Also the person at the reception desk saw that we were having some trouble getting our luggage up the one small step to get into the hotel and he came running to help us. There was an elevator to level 5 but a set of stairs from level 5-6 if you were staying in one of the suites. To have tissue in the bathroom was a treat, haven’t seen it offered in rooms since we left the UK. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. I did mention to reception that the staircase from the 5th to 6th floor is a little dark and may want to consider a little more light there. But could be I’m just getting older and my eyesight isn’t as good. The staff in the breakfast room were so efficient, it was kept so clean and tidy. A very inviting atmosphere. There was warm and cold food offered. It was flavourful and I was happy to find there was a cocoa mix. The staff brought hot milk right to my table. The hotel is central to many restaurants (we went for food right next door 3 times), activities and walking in the city center. It felt very safe to walk at night time. Zanoni’s gelato was even open until 12 midnight! Yumm There is a grocery store just around the corner which was very handy as well. Walk 5-10 min to the hop on hop off buses
