"We had an amazing stay! The house was clean, comfortable, and the perfect place to relax and spend quality time together as a family. We especially enjoyed the pool, basketball court and pickleball court.If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with plenty of opportunities for fun and making memories, this is the perfect place. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"We hosted a wonderful family gathering here for my husband's Papa, and he had an amazing weekend surrounded by his grandkids and great-grandkids. There was so much space and endless activities to choose from—fishing, archery, volleyball, and soccer kept everyone entertained!The house itself is fantastic and comes equipped with a game room featuring a poker table and plenty of board games. The owner is exceptionally helpful and quick to respond. When the Wi-Fi went out for a brief moment, she was on top of it immediately! We are so grateful for her hospitality and definitely plan on booking this place again.A few things to note: Lawn Care: The grass was quite tall during our stay, so we had to be extra cautious with the little ones who might not know to watch out for snakes.Ambient Noise: I loved watching the sunrise from the porch every morning, but do keep in mind that a loud generator or pond aerator runs constantly. You can hear it clearly from both the front and back porches, so it does mask the peaceful morning sounds of chirping birds and crickets.Overall, it was a lovely stay and a fantastic backdrop for making family memories!"

"Beautiful and peaceful space, was perfect for my family of 5 during a baseball tournament. Bedroom upstairs was super kid friendly and plenty of space downstairs. My kids loved waking up and going to see the cows in the morning! Would highly recommend and will return the next time we're in the area"

"We booked The Hideaway for our small group gathering over the 4th of July, and it was exactly the quiet escape we were hoping for. The house has such a warm, easygoing character, with great porches for sitting outside together and plenty of room to spread out. The history of the home and what it now offers guests is a wonderful story the owners should be proud of sharing.We spent our days lounging in the cowboy tank, a perfect way to cool off on a hot day, and our evenings unwinding and playing dominoes in the dining room. Schulenburg was the perfect distance to get away from the busy city. Would happily book again for another low-key getaway."
