"I made the booking and my booking was confirmed by you. But when we arrived the hotel owner wanted to bring you to a cheap private house. We denied the shaby offer. And we searched and paid a hotel on our own costs. We paid 130 Euros for a hotel. You have called us later and told us you will look and confirm another hotel. But then you did no more call us. "I was greeted very warmly by the reception. I was handed a map of Florence and recommended a few really good places to visit (I was also informed about how to get to these places). The location is great in that it is quiet and gives a good idea of living in an old, Italian apartment. The view of the courtyard behind was also memorable. "Loved everything about this place but the location. The area seemed more run down than the south eastern parts of Florence. That being said we didn’t really feel that unsafe. There were kids running around the neighborhood. Restaurants weren’t as accessible during the early dinner hours. It was closer to the airport though which is why we chose it, but next time we’d probably just stay in the more downtown Florence area. "
