"This old house which belonged to the Marquise has been renovated with great care, maintaining its character and charm. The grounds are beautiful and breakfast was wonderful with all the produce being of the highest. This is a family run hotel which is clearly a labour of love."

To help eliminate unwanted bed bugs, which hitch a ride on pilgrims bags, your gear is stored in lockers downstairs and a laundry basket provided to bring up what's needed. Your gear in the locker is secured by a key and another locker upstairs as well. The beds are made and the shower, sink, toilet ratio per person is excellent. "What a wonderful stay! The staff is so lovely, both in the hotel and the restaurant!. Rooms are perfectly clean and comfortable, bright, spacious, with high ceilings. Lunch was so delicious and the service was excellent. Everyone goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and taken care of. There were various items offered for breakfast early enough in the morning (6:30) that you could have time to eat before sunrise. I immediately booked again for my next trip because of how great everything was! :)"

"The house was beautiful, spacious, comfortable & clean.The location was great - easy to walk to town (a bit of a hill coming home). It was easy to get to shopping & many beautiful beaches Walter was a great host from booking until check out. He was very attentive & available.Walter contacted us every couple days to see if we needed anything - directions, recommendations, etc."
