"Lovely place with a comfortable, pleasant, nicely decorated room and a comfortable bed. The bathroom and toilets are shared, however with only 2 other rooms. The kitchen facilities are excellent, with good quality equipment. The place is scrupulously clean. It is close to public transport. The breakfast was fantastic, even for someone who is gluten free. "This is a nice clean room situated smack dab in the middle of Old Lyon with easy access to a plethora of bouchons, cafe's, boulangeries, restaurants, and anything else you want to eat. We found it very cozy and despite a slight language barrier we communicated very well with our very accomodating host, Sylvie, and her husband Joseph. Since we are Cajuns, it was a highlight of our stay to be able to immerse ourselves in a real French environment and we would certainly stay here again. The only...

"‘This is not a hotel’ is the first thing the hostess told us when she first called. The villa indeed is their own home and this is made very clear during our stay. The hostess treated our kids as a strict schoolteacher and to top it all off at the end of the evening also yelled upstairs that we were playing with the heating, which we were not. In the Summer this place might be nicer with the outside pool but in the winter this would not be suitable for a family vacation. Price and quality do...

Offered extra rooms, after the sleeping arrangements were terrible, we were then threatened to be billed extra to VRBO, somehow... The rooms had uncomfortable beds and barely a sheet on them, and towels were hard and ancient. Two cots were inadequate for adult use and the room had massive cobwebs everywhere.
