Rural calm between Chablis & Beaune, near Semur-en-Auxois. Dogs welcome.

Located near the medieval town of Semur-en-Auxois and lying on the edge of a quiet village in a rural river valley given over to small-scale, hedged livestock & arable farms dotted with woodland & the occasional vineyard, this property has its own walled garden. Converted in 2011, the “Little Barn” is a cosy, but modern & comfortable, single-storey, self-catering rental property suitable for two (occasionally three) people. It has a fully-equipped kitchen, open-plan living and dining area and one bedroom with double bed (160cm wide). There is also a "day bed" (80cm wide) in the living area. There are no steps into or inside the building, which is set apart from the owners' house. It is light and airy with south-facing windows & French doors leading into the garden, which is for our renters' private use. The “Little Barn” can accommodate people of moderately-reduced mobility (those using walking sticks, for example). Nonetheless, it is NOT approved for disabled users and help would be needed for anyone in a wheelchair when using the shower cubicle and with moving around on the gravel in the courtyard.

Dogs are welcome, although we insist that they don't get up onto the bed or any other furniture. We do not accept cats or other animals. Gated parking off the road.

The CLOSEST SHOPS & commodities are in Semur-ren-Auxois find bars and restaurants (there is plenty of further information on this in the file you will find on arrival).
The owners are often on site and will help or give advice when asked, but will otherwise leave you in peace (they have their own entrance, car park and garden)....

An awesome vacation!!

This is a wonderful vacation property and was very well appointed, making us feel very much at home. Stuart and Jules were amazing hosts and provided us great recommendations for restaurants and local sightseeing opportunities. The courtyard was very private and was a great place to have a glass of wine and enjoy the sun. I would highly recommend this property and we are looking forward to returning in the future.

Le logement est très fonctionnel : on a manqué de rien. Un jardin anglais magnifique où nos 2 chiens ont pu se reposer. Une très belle déco.

Pour une personne en fauteuil roulant les cailloux, la douche et les wc ne sont pas adaptées. Il faut être accompagné. Malgré cela j'ai passé un bon séjour dans cette priorité. Très bon accueil.

Excellente semaine

très bon accueil de Julia, très sociable. Le logement est fonctionnel, la literie excellente, le jardin est très agréable pour prendre l'apéro et le café. La région a de très bons produits : vins évidemment, fromages, gâteaux, bonbons à l'anis. Bons restaurants à Semur en Auxois ainsi qu'à Beaune. Les villes de Dijon et de Beaune sont à visiter. En bref, une très bonne semaine et un grand merci à Julia.

Wir hatten eine sehr gute Zeit in Viserny. Das Häuschen lässt keine Wünsche offen. Der geschlossene Gartenbereich war für unseren Hund perfekt.

Komfortabel und ruhig mit Charme

Stuart ist ein sehr sympathischer und aufmerksamer Gastgeber und immer hilfsbereit. Die umgebaute Scheune ist mit Geschmack eingerichtet, die Ausstattung und Sauberkeit hervorragend und weit über dem Durchschnitt. Sehr bequeme Betten. Man hat den hübsch angelegten Garten ganz für sich allein und kann die ländliche Ruhe genießen. Die Lage ist gut geeignet für Ausflüge in alle Richtungen. Wir waren schon einmal vor 8 Jahren zu Gast und würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

voor rustzoekers

we zijn prima ontvangen door de engelse gastheer en gastvrouw. het huis was binnen wat we er van verwacht hadden. Goede wifi. De ligging hadden we anders ingeschat. het ligt opgesloten in een tuin van 20 bij 20 meter. achter het huis een hoog huis van de buren. naast het huis het grote huis met schuur van de eigenaar. ďe tuin overig omsloten en besloten met een muur. Geen vrij uitzicht dus. Overigens wel een mooie tuin. Hele rustige ligging. geen last van buren of eigenaar. het is er goed wandelen. Op 10 km Semur en Auxois. Dit is een prachtig middeleeuws stadje. We zijn er 3 keer heen geweest om te wandelen en op een terasje te zitten. auto noodzakelijk. In het dorpje zelf is niets maar dan ook echt niets te doen. Goede prijs va kwaliteit verhouding voor prijs die wij betaalden maar we hadden wel een discount. Geen spijt van het verblijf.

Ruhig und komfartabel

Der Vermieter hat sofort auf unsere Anfrage geantwortet. Er war sehr freundlich , hilfsbereit und ansonsten unaufdringlich. Das Ferienhaus bietet ebenerdige Zugänge, ist großzügig geschnitten, hell und komfortabel eingerichtet. Der Garten ist geschlossen, sehr gepflegt und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die Abgeschlossenheit ist auch super für den Hund. Die Lage im Ort ist ruhig aber nicht abgeschieden. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es in den benachbarten größeren Orten. Der Standort ist zudem ideal für viele Besichtigungen und Ausflüge in der näheren und weiteren Umgegend. Wir haben dort einen wunderbaren Urlaub verbringen können. Allerdings konnten wir nur eine Woche dort verleben, kommen aber herne wieder.

Complete and comfortable gite

This is our third stay with Stuart and Jules and they have all been very enjoyable. The gite is fully equipped with everything a traveler could need during their stay, including excellent WiFi. The gite is a separate house all on one level with a nice walled garden and private parking. Stuart and Jules live adjacent - they were always available for assistance, but were not intrusive.

Super ausgestattete Fewo, komplett eingerichtet, auch die Küche, super Garten mit Mobiliar, sehr unkomplizierter Umgang mit den sehr netten Besitzern, nächste Boulangerie 5km entfernt.
