"If you’re going for a true “back in time” experience, this place absolutely delivers—unfortunately, it seems to have stopped updating somewhere around 1982 and never looked back. The rooms are extremely outdated, and I’m almost convinced the comforters are originals. They appear to be the exact same ones from the listing photos—just now in their faded, well-lived, decades-old form. Think less “coastal charm” and more “retired motel energy.” The fridge was honestly disgusting and clearly hasn’t met a proper deep clean in a while. No ice machines anywhere on the property—but don’t worry, you can buy a bag for $3, which feels like a fun little bonus charge for the full experience. Also, no elevators for half the rooms, so pack light or prepare for a workout. The “restaurant” is basically a bar with a grill, and the staff, while nice enough, didn’t seem to have a strong grasp on… much of anything. As for the beach: yes, there is access, which is the main redeeming quality. The “beachfront view,” however, requires a bit of imagination—you can see the ocean if you’re willing to look past large, football-field-sized buildings and around the parts of your view that are blocked by other structures. Overall, it wasn’t the absolute worst place we’ve stayed—but it was nowhere near worth the price. Between the outdated rooms, lack of amenities, and creatively described “( beach )views,” it just doesn’t come close to matching what you’re paying for."

"The room and bathroom were dirty and the TV did not work. We had to borrow an iron and there was no ironing board. Most outlets had no plate covers or were loose. The curtain in the back bedroom did not fit so the sun was gleaming in in the morning. The couch was too nasty to sit on."

"After reading the reviews and seeing the rating, I wasn't expecting much. I wasn't disappointed. For me, the oceanfront location made up for what the facilities lacked in appearance. This place offers a great oceanfront view at a reasonable price, in comparison to other beachfront properties. This is not a place of luxury. You get decent accommodations (my bathroom was in need of a reno), at a decent price. Expect quiet during the week with a more noisy crowd on weekends. The staff was always helpful and I enjoyed my stay."

"They lied to me the first night and put me in the wrong room. They also surge priced the room I overpaid by double the room was disgusting and barely cleaned and the whole time I was there they never cleaned my room"

"This place looks nothing like the pictures online. Everything is completely run down, with mold and broken tiles in the shower. The faucet knobs were broken, and the shower wouldn't even turn off. The carpet appeared to be 30 years old—black and sticky to the touch. To make matters worse, the beds were hard as a rock, and the staff was unhelpful when we requested clean towels or a broom to sweep the room. "
