"De toute ma vie je n'ai jamais vu un appartement aussi sale, vétuste, dangereux (cuisinière électrique branchée sur une rallonge) ménage non fait, aucun confort, j'ai dû demander un balai, une pelle et une brosse et une serpillère. Le sol collait aux pieds à notre arrivée, je l'ai lavé et l'eau de mon seau était noire, pas marron, NOIRE. La chambre était refaite mais des plaques pendaient du plafond. Comment peut on louer un bien comme celui-ci ! Il va être rénové, mais alors ON NE LE LOUE PAS....

"Heerlijk en conformtabel verblijf in een mooi, schoon en nieuw ingericht appartement waar veel zorg aan is besteed. We zijn vriendelijk en gastvrij ontvangen. Prettige plek om Langres te verkennen."

"Great place, everything you need and good location in middle of the town. Butter, cheese, jam etc was provided for breakfast. The only thing the sliding door for the toilet is not fitting very well. No problems with getting the key to the flat, but the car park next to the museum was full so we had to find another one."

"A very pleasant stay in a comfortable appartment in an charming ancient city."

"What a beautiful stunning property! The whole house was clean, tidy, charming and massive spread over a number of floors each looking different. The house is right by the centre of Langres which itself is a beautiful town. The kitchen was massive, the living room was beautiful and quirky. What a lovely place to stay -we all loved it. We didn't find any wifi. Stunning!"

When planning a long journey from the UK down to the Mediterranean coast, this is the first place we look to stay at."

"Good option for an overnight stay. I had booked the “superior” room but had to ask for it after being allocated a cheaper room. Service from reception was pleasant. The “duvet” bed cover was coarse and not pleasant to sleep under. My room AC dripped about 500ml of water overnight - the waste bin collected it! The adjacent grill restaurant served decent food at reasonable prices. Bonus was the reasonably priced electric car charging terminals. Note that the hotel is locked until 4pm, so don’t bother hoping for an early checkin. "

"The Auberge de l’Abbatiale is a wonderful small family run hotel with excellent accommodation in a historic and very interesting building. Very friendly owner and staff. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious. Thoroughly recommended as a stop off point while travelling through France as it is located in a picturesque historic village fairly close to an exit on the A31 (13 km away). Half way between Calais and the south of France."
