"No lift to first floor room, have mobility problems, stairs were difficult. Able to change to ground floor garden room for next 2'nights. Excellent WiFi for first night, then no internet (for hotel staff as well!) until reinstated on last night (bar area only)."

"This was a beautiful, historic hotel. We enjoyed our room and the breakfast. Location was also great for a historic adventure. This was more of a “figure things out on your own hotel” with limited access to any staff so it was not very warm/inviting. If you prefer limited staff interaction and enjoy privacy, this is your place. If you like a friendly , helpful and accommodating experience , pick something else."

"Outdated decor. Rooms not cleaned. Dead flies, bathroom spiders web in the corner. Curtains not clean. Breakfast basic. No member of staff able to speak english. Lucky for me my daughter can speak basic German. Kitchen in suit has no cutlery, pans, cups or glasses. For some reason there was no rubbish bin provided."

"Nothing to complain about. Great spot and reasonable pricing model. Decent local German restaurant/bar on site. Get a good bang for your buck. Obviously not the most luxurious spot in town. But a great historic place and nice hosts. Would definitely recommend it for a overnight stay in that area if you are on a tight budget. Thank you."
