"Cost is always a criteria for me. Motels in Hays that were safe, inexpensive, (less than $100) and clean were over $200 this weekend because of graduations. I was forced to travel 22 miles to Ellis to find an affordable room. The only drawback, the shower didn't drain. Other than that, it was convenient to the interstate and fast food. I will stay again, I think I will no longer stay in Hays. Hays has become too crowded and busy. "

The CRI seemed like a terrific choice, w/high reviews, over the long stretch of road and many hotel choices. Great price, clean, quiet, free simple breakfast, and nice staff!!
