  • The Cameron Park Zoo in Waco, Texas is a terrific zoo! The zoo has a great range of animals and exhibits and the grounds are well kept and spacious. There's lots of shade to keep you somewhat cool during those hot Texan summer months if you visit during that time frame. The animal enclosures are nice, and can really give you great views of the animals themselves if you are a bit patient. This also makes for great photo views, as shown here with this photo of an approaching jaguar. Food and snack prices are also very reasonable, as are prices for souvenirs. This zoo makes for a great day out for the family.

Cute bungalow, perfect for our family of 8!Kitchen was awesome for eating in and cooking family meals together. Beds were comfy and bathrooms were ideal. Plenty of towels for everyone and plenty of space too. Keurig brewed coffee and rental came with a plethora of Keurig pod options and flavors. That was a nice touch since we are coffee drinkers. Rental is about 10 minutes from campus and close to literally everything from HEB to Walmart to eateries. Owner is super attentive and accommodating too.
