"Very cool, obviously was an incredible place back in the day, we enjoyed our stay in the royal suite, some of the decor needs a bit of attention if its going to be a proper 5 star. Worth the money all in all and I would atay again."

Beetles in the bathroom at night, we checked out a night early as the place was so depressing - I cannot understand how it has got such good reviews "

"It is a good location, a tuk tuk offers easy and quick access to Pettah market (fascinating and bustling), Colombo Fort Station (the main train station) and the beach area with modern hotels (although somewhat lacking in Sri Lankan atmosphere). The room was spacious, air conditioned and clean, with en suite rooms supplying shampoo, conditioner and moisturiser. The meals (both dinner and breakfast) were yummy. They also cater for veggie and vegan. The staff here are extremely friendly, helpful and kind. It is a good place to stay. "

"One of the worst stays in Colombo. No signals or phone coverage to the room. through out the night some creatures on the ceiling running and making loud noises. Dead cockroaches all over and in the bathroom..broken taps in the bathrooms.noisy neighbourhood too.☹️"
