"Staff were welcoming. All carpets and furnishings appeared new. Parking was good, under the hotel which was good in the rain! Easy walk to Minnehaha trail and local restaurants (enjoyed the Betsey Jane eatery). Good location to drive to glacier and Lake Matheson."

"Above and beyond service and friendliness. Our host was exceptional at check in, providing a complimentary fresh warmed blueberry muffin for each traveler. Rooms were warm, clean & comfortable. Common area spacious, friendly, very well equipped, with complementary coffee, vegetable soup (home made!), popcorn. Full kitchen. Also a gym and spa available. Our departure from the region was delayed, and we were allowed access to the common area after check out by the very generous host. HIGHLY recommended."

"Very clean, modern and comfortable stay! Appreciated the TV room, common room with games, a fireplace and lots of seating. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious, my highlight was the sauna which was inside the hostel that was delightful and warmed me after a cold hike. I also loved that my en-suite bathroom had both an extractor fan and heater too which was a nice touch."

"A great place to stay. What they do they do well. Very comfortable. We stayed 3 nights. We cooked dinner each now night. Although there wasn’t anyone around we could call someone in charge if needed. Room was clean and tidy. Heater worked a treat and was on when we arrived at check in which is a nice welcoming touch as still cold outside. "

"We were super-comfortable in our small suite with everything we needed for a thoroughly enjoyable 3 night stay. There were wonderful views out on to the Fox range mountains, and only a 5min walk from the excellent and very atmosphetic Cook and Saddle cafe. Lake Matheson with its memorable rainforest walk, the mirrored reflections of Mtns Tasman and Cook, and the welcoming cafe offering excellent fare to eat and drink - as well as a local artist's gallery - was a real bonus.
