I texted back to verify they had boogie boards to borrow, they told me no they did not have boogie boards to borrow. "I recently stayed at OUTRIGGER Kauaʻi Beach Resort & Spa and would give it 4 stars. The property was very clean, beautiful, and well-maintained. My room was spacious, clean, and the bed was comfortable. The location is convenient to the airport and several attractions, and there is a restaurant on the property. I also enjoyed the drinks from the bar! The resort is currently undergoing construction, so depending on where you are, you may hear some loud noise. It didn't really bother me, it was more of a “wow, that's loud” moment. I understand that work needs to be done, and the construction workers were very professional and respectful. They kept to themselves and never made guests feel uncomfortable, even when people were walking around in swimsuits. I did walk down to the beach, but there wasn't really anywhere to lay out, and the waves were too large for swimming during my stay. Part of the pool area was also closed, although I'm not sure why. My only real issue was housekeeping. My room was not serviced after my first night, even though the website states rooms are serviced daily. I didn't report it because I returned exhausted after spending the entire day exploring. I enjoyed my stay and found the staff very friendly. However, I personally spend most of my vacations out exploring, so I didn't use the pools, spa, fitness center, or other resort amenities. For my travel style, I'd probably choose a less expensive hotel next time rather than paying additional fees."

"Mostly this was a good suite and worked for us. I am a rare traveler and was unfamiliar with an off-site host. I needed help with WIFI and a couple of other questions and the company was quick to help and patient. Apparently some suites are better maintained than others. Our was medium. There was a slider screen that was pulled from the frame. There was only 1 gecko and 1 cockroach, so that's pretty good for Hawaii. The suite was basically clean, yet there was the unsealed screen, damaged vent, cracked lavatory, touched up shower, poor painting). It was a place to stay while our local house was being tented. Suites vary. Company helpful. Basically good."

"Loved staying at this beachside house near Hanalei. Walking distance to beautiful beaches. Friendly neighbors. Peaceful. We wished we could have stayed longer, but our trip was curtailed by Hurricane Lala. Donna, our host, was helpful, communicative and understanding throughout the process. We would love to stay here again. Clean, peaceful, comfy beds. Love the main shower with river rock flooring and ocean sounds through the windows."
