Ryokans in Wakayama Prefecture

"Be very careful with your room choice! We stayed 2 nights here, the first night was in the main building and none of this applies because it was dreadful. We moved on the second night and the difference was night and day!"

"A very friendly staff and wonderful dining experience in the Hotel's dining room."

"Excellent onsen and food"

"For a truly historic and immersive stay this Temple is perfect. Near all the most significant sites in Koyasan."

"Kind and attentive staff, relaxing baths, delicious vegetarian food and an enlightening meditation session"

"Clean room, helpful staff, great location, delicious dinner and breakfast."

"Amazing service very nice staff"

"Lovely time."

"The price was the best in the city, but this is no hotel as you can find somewhere else. Check-in and check-out was ok. There is no private shower, and with the rain, the ceiling was leaking. Okay-ish hotel. Messages you receive from the owner must be translated in English with Google Translate, but the check-in process pdf is in English."

"The private bath was superb! We experience quite a few private and public baths in Japan, and this was our favorite."

"I thought a shukubo would be a very simple minimalist accommodation but it was a luxurious stay. A pleasant surprise. Great staff and service, beautiful gardens, wonderful shojin meals, relaxing bath after our long hike, and a morning service in the main hall. It was a perfect experience"

"All was excellent and we had a beautiful room. Food was very delicious "

"Great local food not michelin, great onsens! Beautiful location. But a bit overpriced. "

"Enjoyed this location and the staff was very helpful. Near transportation and the fish market with a great view of the harbor and ocean."

"Excellent accommodation. Good value. Lovely location and loved the onsen experience. Staff were helpful . It would have been easier to communicate if I could speak Japanese."
