Shinjuku Granbell Hotel

"Location is great and quiet with a train station very close to the hotel. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe throughout my stay. The room was small but perfect for one person, with everything I needed. The bed was comfortable, and excellent water pressure. I experienced racism during my stay, and when I tried to explain the situation to the manager on duty, she didn’t understand one thing - she did was nod, without offering any real response or support and this was on my birthday too! All staff I encountered were unkind, unwelcoming, and, just plain mean. The only staff member who was genuinely kind was a housekeeping lady who helped me without huffing and puffing or making me feel like I was a burden."

"Perfect for an overnight flight connection. Connected to terminal 3. No shuttle necessary. Endless shops and restaurants housed within the building. Clean and compact rooms. Excellent buffet breakfast with a lot of Japanese and Western options. Easy, convenient, and with every amenity required."

"I loved the sento (Japanese bath). Room is small but clean and quiet. On the edge of Kabukicho, as the name implies, there’s good food close. I’d stay there again."
