"We loved our week-long stay in this well-appointed cabin! We woke up to the seagulls every day, took some nice walks in the woods at nearby nature preserves, went to 2 of Maine’s prettiest lighthouses, and enjoyed lots of lobster. The only drawback is that most restaurants are a good drive away and need a bit of planning in the evening. The cabin is comfortable and the two living areas are nice for a variety of indoor activities. There is also good engagement from the owners who supplied a nice...

"And we're looking forward to our eighth. Everything about this log cabin on the river is right. Peter is a gracious host. The guy you'd want for a neighbor back home. The property is immaculate. The view from porch and patio is blissful. The neighborhood is quiet, but groceries, dining and sightseeing are nearby. Mostly, though, we just love to sit with the river in view, read and talk."

"This cottage is comfortable and decorated nicely. The beds are comfortable. The location between two commercial lots along a highway isn’t desirable. It needs a lobster pot—the one item every Maine rental should have."

"Great location. Very old camp that was pretty clean despite the age...except for the carpeting. Walkway into the camp just an uphill, rocky path. Quite hazardous, especially if wet. Also challenging to get luggage up, especially for older adults or anyone with mobility issues Needs improvement"

"The cabin is perfectly cozy and the setting is a nature-lover's delight. You can watch the sun rise from your bed, have cocktails on the enormous deck while you watch the crabs come out, leaping fish and birds galore (including a bald eagle). We loved our stay and our hosts - we encourage anyone to take advantage of a fantastic meal a short stroll up the hill when you stay. Loved it!"

We only stayed 3 nights as we were traveling to different areas, but did not want to leave here. The porch was a favorite spot, especially in the rain. "Great location- 2 clean cabins and great view of the pond! Off the beaten path. Busier road then expected so walking between the cabins with smaller children would have to be supervised - limited grocery storage for the five of us - later check in the most and earlier check - out! Fans kept us cool - beds comfortable ! Overall a few flaws but one of our favorite picks to date!"
