"The concept of a capsule is basically a good one though It is not for me. I must say I slept very well inside the dark soundless cocoon with a nice mattress, but I will stick to hotels and hostels. I tried it in Japan for temporary snooze between trains, The experience was more sophisticated there. the capsule here was roughly made with unfinished plywood material."

"The hotel and its property and the views are amazing. Everything is kept very clean including our room. The reception staff were always responsive to our needs and helpful to provide us with anything we needed. The bar staff was fantastic and even provided us with blankets to sit outside in the cool evening. The only problem we experienced was our last morning when we had limited time before leaving for the train station, no one came to take our order for more than 20 minutes. Everyone else was greeted and waited on except us, leaving us to leave with only having croissants, juice and coffee. It is a beautiful place and maybe not everyone will experience what we did."
The Dolder Grand

"Overall, we had a positive stay at The Dolder Grand. The location is wonderful, offering a peaceful retreat outside the hustle and bustle of Zurich. The staff, from check-in to the concierge and porters, were consistently friendly, professional, and welcoming. However, I would give the hotel four stars rather than five, particularly for families traveling with young children. While the hotel makes some effort to accommodate families, it is not what I would consider a truly family-friendly luxury resort. Children have limited access to certain amenities, including the spa and pool-related facilities, and the restaurant does not offer a dedicated children’s menu. The hotel does provide a children’s playroom, which is a nice gesture, but it is essentially a guest room converted into a play space rather than a fully equipped kids’ club with supervised activities and programming, as you might find at other family-friendly luxury resorts. The property is also quite large, so getting around can take time, especially with little ones. Ultimately, we found ourselves leaving the hotel to find activities to keep our children entertained. This was disappointing, as one of the main reasons we chose to stay outside Zurich was to enjoy a relaxing resort and take advantage of the hotel’s amenities without needing to leave the property. The Dolder Grand is a beautiful hotel with exceptional service in a wonderful setting. I would absolutely recommend it to adults but not families."
Hotel Neu-Schönstatt

"We had a great stay at this hotel. Stunning views onto Lake Walen. This is a self check-in facility but it's rather easy. Make sure you're in touch with the management online. Parking is offsite, about a 8 minute walk away. We believe it's run by the resident catholic nuns. Breakfast is simple but good. Rooms are modern and clean."
