Shinjuku Granbell Hotel

"Location is great and quiet with a train station very close to the hotel. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe throughout my stay. The room was small but perfect for one person, with everything I needed. The bed was comfortable, and excellent water pressure. I experienced racism during my stay, and when I tried to explain the situation to the manager on duty, she didn’t understand one thing - she did was nod, without offering any real response or support and this was on my birthday too! All staff I encountered were unkind, unwelcoming, and, just plain mean. The only staff member who was genuinely kind was a housekeeping lady who helped me without huffing and puffing or making me feel like I was a burden."

"I loved the sento (Japanese bath). Room is small but clean and quiet. On the edge of Kabukicho, as the name implies, there’s good food close. I’d stay there again."

"The hotel was a really good spot to stay at if your into night life activities in Roppongi really close to food spots and site seeing. The rooms are well maintained but rooms are small if you brought multiple bags with you I suggest packing small and light"
Sunshine City Prince Hotel

"This is by far my favorite hotel that I've stayed in in Tokyo and I'll always leave a review every time I stay here. Despite being about an 8 minute walk to Ikebukuro Station, the location connected directly to Sunshine City Mall and the proximity to all the stores in Otome Road make this hotel the prime location for the last few days of my Japan trips to get all my shopping in. There's a convenient Family Mart located downstairs by the elevators and the lobby, luggage forwarding to different hotels, and direct access to the Airport Limousine that goes right to Haneda/Narita Airport so no need to deal with crowded trains or a taxi. Highly recommend the Deluxe Twin Room on a Panorama Floor for a bit more space and an unbeatable view!"
