Our stay was satisfactory, considering it was in a heatwave, but the breakfast was not up to standard at all. Nothing was prepared properly or ready for people to come and help themselves and some things were not available which were on the menu, like fruit salad and the self service sideboard was not prepared properly. Altogether a disappointing experience and not what you expect from a hotel/pub type accommodation nowadays.

Great food George inn

Room was small, fairly standard but had a clever bunk bed which separated the beds. Bathroom dated but still ok with good shampoos etc. Food was excellent Sunday roast, desserts a little on the expensive side.

We stayed here for one night for a family party. The accommodation was great, we had a lovely room, very comfortable bed and great bathroom. The service was great as soon as we checked in.

Lovely little place to stay near longleat zoo , will advise to stay at the side of the pub as they have a garage on other side of the road , very bright lights and they come through the blinds. otherwise all good breakfast was good

Lovely place for our night out šŸ˜€

We booked a night in the inn as we went to Longleat for the day to celebrate my Husbands birthday. The room was light and comfortable. Very busy pub area with friendly locals.The staff were superb. He even had a cake with a birthday candle presented to him. Above and beyond service.

Stayed for two nights over a weekend because I was visiting Longleat. Very convenient for this attraction and easy to get to off the A303. Mel welcomed me and was very helpful throughout my stay and the other staff memnbers were lovely. I had a large room on the front corner of the property (room 7). Extremely comfortable bed and all the amenities losted when I booked. The property is next to a busy road so there is traffic noise. The bedroom had secondary double glazing which helped to reduced the noise but the bathroom didn't. I would go back to this hotel but probably ask for a different room; this is mainly because the TV was so far away. Could have done with a 2nd bedside lamp and another one on the desk. Remote control for the radio didnt work and I had no idea how to use the nice dyson fan. The luggage rack was on the top shelf of the wardrobe; I used the desk instead. Bathroom had the required amenities and nice toiletries. The fan was a bit noisy so I used the light on the vanity mirror. I didn't get on well with the shower; poor water pressure and hot water took ages to come through. I mentioned this on departure. The food was very good and whilst not cheap the prices were comparable with another hotel that I stayed in. The atmosphere in public areas was friendly and welcoming. Dogs are made very welcome which I like Overall a good conveniently located hotel with good food.

We got so much for the price we paid .. for less than a premier inn we had a delightful room which was clean and comfortable and quiet. We had a great nights sleep. Friendly service and a brilliant stop before / after visiting Longleat ( Aqua Sana but could also be a good stop for Center Parcs or the Safari Park)

Mouldy milk, and rude Manager

Unfortunately there was mouldy milk left in the fridge, realised only upon taking a gulp of it, the smell hit and became evident from the lumps and colour it was gone off, left in the fridge and not changed from the night before can only be expected. Manager unwilling to help, with a ā€˜I donā€™t give a aā€™ attitude. Will be performing a chargeback due to the state of the room and no remediation of dirty cups in the room, new milk was given in a in clean container not washed properly.

Pub and accommodation in a handy location. They messed up our booking which meant that one of us had to sleep on the floor. (with additional bedding) We had booked a twin room late in the evening after being let down. Just before we booked, we rang to confirm that we could book a twin. Unfortunately, the twin was already occupied and as we had paid, it was too ate to change. Food in the restaurant was fine and beer good. Staff are well trained and engaging. Overall a comfortable stay albeit expensive for the room that was noisy being on the roadside.

A pleasant stay with generous sized family room

Nice room, some areas needed attention like the wallpaper peeling and the curtains, but other than that was generously sized as a family room with a dividing curtain and a decent sized bathroom with dual sinks. Food was very very average, I think they have somewhat oversold the quality of the food, but breakfast was substantial and tasty. The room had a Dyson fan which was welcomed. The outside of the building looks a bit tired. Handily opposite the fuel station and within 5 miles of longleat safari

The room was excellent spotlessly clean but there was no hot water When queried with reception was told a blip in the boiler!!! Said immersion heater would be switched on but this didnā€™t happen I trust we will have refund as our sole purpose of staying the night was to use the shower

We arrived after 6 hours in the car to a room that was about 40 degrees in temperature with no ventilation. there were 4 of us in the room. The service was adequate, the staff were trying but a lot of them were clearly new. a few things were offered, shaving cream, cotton wool, sewing kits that could be collected from reception (no phones in the room to ring down so had to go down in person!) but when asked for a sewing kit to fix our childs broken teddy there weren't any to be found. we were really disappointed.

My partner & I stayed at the Hotel as it was within a convenient distance to Longleat. The property is very charming, breakfast was very good and also a lot of options. Our room did have a comfy bed and pillows however the location of the room (Room 12), the landing that leads to/ from all the other rooms and back to the Pub, was very noisy with a lot of creaky floor boards. The room also had a stench of sweaty feet upon arriving so we left the window open as well as the room door to try and clear out the smell (it did subside a bit however we then had an air purifier which was running constantly after that). The carpet had not been vacuumed, there were nail clippings and other debris on the carpet, the room had a lot of cobwebs in the corners, enough to see they have been there a while. The food in the restaurant was also not particularly great, for me and my partner. Unfortunately both dishes lacked flavour (1 Beer Battered Cod & Chips, 1 Butter Chicken Burger).
