"This is a very conveniently located hotel with some great amenities. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Check in was quick and easy. The food from the restaurant was very good. Room was basic but clean and quiet. My only issue was with the shower door and the fact there was no seal across the bottom of the door, water leaked out from underneath and we used a couple of towels to mop it up. Towels were quickly replaced by housekeeping and all was good. This was our second stay here and all in all, I would highly recommend the ibis central to anyone coming to AMS."

"I took pictures of the stained and largely pilled mattress pad. Although it is suggested by Regent Cruise Line to visit this “superior” hotel, I will show them pictures I took. It did offer a view but one must be 7 feet tall to enjoy it. The staff was ok, had to beg for more water than was allotted annd provided. The breakfast buffet was very good, a very nice selection, but 80% of a travelers time in a hotel is on the bed. I did not pull off the bedsheets until our last day to discover it then. Consequently I did not report this to management. The facade of the hotel and its architectural structure was unique. The hotel has an interesting history that I made certain to note in my travel journal. Truly, I am sorry to post this review but other travelers need to be aware We didn’t use laundry service or other services available since our visit to Amsterdam was only four days"
