The Space:
Farmstay at Sheltered Paddock is a private, secluded tiny home set apart from other holiday homes on the property. Drift off under a star-filled sky and wake to birdsong and kangaroos grazing nearby. The farm stay is tucked away in nature, in the tranquil countryside of Warrenmang in the Pyrenees Wine Region—just an hour from Ballarat.
This cozy 139-square-foot tiny home offers stunning views of the rolling Pyrenees Hills. It’s ideally located for exploring nearby attractions like Summerfield Winery and the Avoca Hotel, both just minutes away. For those seeking adventure, the Grampians National Park is about an hour’s drive, with scenic stops in Stawell and Halls Gap, as well as highlights like Boroka Lookout, MacKenzie Falls, and The Pinnacle.
Our holiday homes include essential amenities such as split-system air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and These amenities include a flushing toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers). We recommend bringing basic supplies like food and drinking water.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you’re booking for a group, you can take a pick of some of our additional holiday homes (Olive, Clyde, Wren, Monte and Stella) available with just 24 hours' notice.
Our farm stay runs on solar energy, so we kindly ask guests to conserve power during the day. Please note that this is a working farm, so you may hear tractor and farm animals noise, including sheep and Highland cows, during your stay. We recommend bringing your own food and water, and look forward to welcoming you to our peaceful patch of country paradise.
Guest Access:
Guests have full access to our cozy tiny home and its surrounding grounds, except the host’s private residence. If interested, preorders are available with 24 hours' notice:
- Firewood is available at a cost of $20 per night, paid directly to the host
- Enjoy the BBQ facilities or gather around a warm fire in the shared common area, open to all guests
- Wifi is available at an extra cost of $10. Password will be provided at check-in, as we operate on metered satellite internet
- For an extra touch of luxury, reserve our serene wood-fired bathtub, offering breathtaking views—available by advance booking
GUEST NOTE: We also have common restroom accessible to guests equipped with a flush toilet approximately 15 meters from the tiny house.

Stella at Sheltered Paddock by Tiny Away is nestled in the rustic countryside, featuring a blend of cropping fields, livestock pastures, and vineyards. In addition to nearby wineries, guests can delve into the vast State Forest, offering opportunities for bushwalking, mountain biking, and trail bike riding.
Pyrenees Pies & Takeaway, The Olive & Lavender Store, and Home Made Cafe, are all easily accessible, just a short 18-minute drive from the tiny house. What's more, we're conveniently located just an hour's drive from Ballarat.
Local Recommendations: Visit Summerfield Winery for exceptional wines and wood-fired pizzas, Sally’s Paddock for hearty food, Avoca Waterfalls for seasonal hiking, Taltarni Vineyard for a unique barrel room tasting experience, and Blue Pyrenees Estate for delicious tapas in a scenic vineyard setting.

Getting Around:
By car: 2hrs 25 mins from Melbourne CBD
20 min drive to and from the nearest town
By public transport: You can take the V/Line train from Melbourne to Maryborough or Ballarat, then a bus to Avoca. There is no public transport directly to our property. Can pick up from Avoca for an additional charge by arrangement and availability.

- Please note that this is a pet-friendly property, pet policies will be sent prior to arrival
- Keep in mind that 'fence improvement' is ongoing for a safer space for your pets. Please keep an eye on your pets and have them leashed at all times
- Early check-in and late-check out available at additional charge
Important note:
- Guests are advised to bring portable power banks in case of low power
- Guests are also advised to save energy to avoid running out of electricity
- Please charge your phone and electronics in advance in case of low-light days
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Please advise that there will be some tractor noise and farm animals (e.g., like Highland cows, sheep, and lambs) during your stay with
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
