"An older refurbished motel. It was mostly clean and neat. The inside is nicely done, no carpet...which I like, except it was gritty...needed swept. Parking: only four spots in front, which is where we parked, but others must have to park in the gas station parking lot that it is connected to.
Checking In: the owners were pleasant, but it took quite some time as they only had us staying one night, on the following day; I had to bring up my confirmation info to prove we were booked that night, and for two days. She made several phone calls after I showed my reservation, then told a gentleman waiting they didn't have a room for him after all. If he had registered before me, not sure what would have happened. Next day, when we returned after being gone all day, the room had not been touched. I called the office to find out why, and he seemed confused, and asked me what I wanted them to do. I explained the beds were unmade, the trash not removed, no clean towels and washcloths, etc. He sent a teenager down with two towels. The young man was very polite, but such an unprofessional way to operate. I'm not sure if they are unaware how to run a motel, or what. The morning we left, at 7:45(!), the office was dark and locked. I rang the bell twice, and after about five minutes, the owner appeared in pajamas, obviously awakened, took the key through a hole in the door, and said to go on line to get a receipt. Again, she was nice, but not what you expect. Over all, an ok stay, just odd.
