Charming English basement apartment in historic Dupont Circle

Enjoy this charming 1br/1ba (sleeps 2-4+) English Basement apartment with private entrance in a historic 1890 Townhouse within walking distance of Dupont Circle, Logan Circle and the U Street Corridor. This tastefully furnished apartment has one bedroom with a king size Tempurpedic bed, a queen size sleeper sofa, plus several inflatable beds of various sizes. It's the perfect location for a business trip or a visit to DC's many incredible sites. And I don't charge a cleaning fee! I’ve lived in the main house above the apartment for over 20 years, so I’m happy to answer questions about the area and offer suggestions for your stay.

The apartment is a stone's throw from dozens of restaurants (6 with Michelin stars!), shops, clubs and within easy walking distance of two Metro lines. There's no off-street parking for the unit, but free temporary residential parking can be arranged for visitors to take advantage of the plentiful street parking in the neighborhood.

Our stay here was great. Fantastic neighborhood with lots of food options nearby. Metro was also a walkable distance. Very walkable and safe. Loved staying at this property! An under 10 minute walk to the Green Line station and many restaurants. Parking was easy to find and the owner was very helpful in getting the permit and the check-in / check-out process. 10/10 would definitely recommend staying here.

Frank and Ty could not have been more accommodating! The apartment is in a great area with shops snd restaurants nearby. It was a quick Uber ride to all of the sights. We will definitely stay here again if we return to DC.

This listing was great for us as it was close to so many restaurants. Walking distance to the Metro and bus stops. We left our car parked in the same spot all week as we walked or used the easily accessible public transit. The home itself was very organized and detailed instructions left by the host with every question we could have had.

Frank’s basement house was perfect for our family of 4. The kids slept on the pullout couch and we were also able to cook meals at night. The location was perfect to take a quick uber to all the sites in DC. Frank was also great at communicating. Would definitely recommend!

Favorite things - the host's quick response to inquiries, location to bus line and restaurants, and free parking. Nice size for a couple and a comfortable bed, too.It is a basement apartment with little natural light and a little damp. Great little place - convenient to get around

I took my 3 teens/tweens to see the historic sights of DC and this apartment was a great home base. Easy walk to Metro and bus-stops. no concerns with the neighborhood - we parked the car right in front of the house and left it there with no concerns/problems. Easy to find food choices in the neighborhood as well
