Mala atencion de la manager, nos bajo el nivel de habitacion que pagamos, los niños tuvieron que dormir en unsofa roto y el colchon horrible.
The manager provided very poor customer service. She downgraded us to a lower-category room than the one we had paid for. Our children had to sleep on a broken sofa bed with a terrible mattress, making our stay very uncomfortable.
Valet and parking is a problem. Many times you have to leave your vehicle sitting in the street to wait on a valet to move for you. This can take a while in some cases. I also mentioned this because our vehicle was damaged while sitting in the position waiting. Don't follow the signs that state turn off your engine, lock your vehicle, and leave the keys. Stay until it is moved.
The room was clean. The breakfast was well appreciated and varied, although the potatoes were dry. The restaurant was good on the first day but made us queasy on the second. We were dissatisfied that the roof top was closed for the fireworks. It was a massive failing by the hotel not to have that option. We were able to view from the gym once we found the light switch to turn the lights off but it was less than ideal.
The breakfast was served excellently. The staff performed efficiently to ensure we had all the amenities maintained. The maids there were kind to us.
Be sure to book which rooms actually have operable windows because the ventilation is poor in the 1 King Bedroom us three decided to stay in. Also our room for some reason had no cable tv installed, with cords unplugged, so that was a bummer, but we had high speed internet.
The room was clean and very spacious. The breakfast was really good as well but I wish they had other meat options that weren’t only pork. The staff was very nice and we were even able to check in 3 hours early. Only complaint is that valet can get hectic. The drive up area really isn’t an area. You basically block traffic while trying to check your car in or pick your car up but it works. Overall it was a great stay, you get a full size kitchen living room and bedroom. Big bathroom, free breakfast and full equipped gym. Definitely check it out, I’ve stayed here twice.
I like Residence Inns because there are kitchenettes in every room that allow one to be somewhat self-sufficient. We particularly enjoyed the daily breakfast that was quite pleasing with a number of protein, pastry, fruit and egg choices. The Delegate was a nice bar/grill in the lobby that provided additional dining choices. It closed down by 10 PM during the week which forced people who wanted to have a nightcap to move across the street to the Marriott Marquis' bars. The elevators were quite efficient which hasn't always been the case at some of the Residents Inns we've been to and the rooms were quiet & clean. It was a pleasant stay.
My experience here was absolutely horrible. I flew in from San Francisco with my family my husband and our three kidst o celebrate my oldest daughter’s 15th birthday. The day before our arrival, I even received a notification from Expedia confirming that we were all set to check in.
However, when we arrived at the hotel, we were told that our reservation had been canceled. There was no explanation, no prior notification, no phone call, and no email nothing. After a long flight, with three tired kids and no place to stay, this was incredibly stressful and unacceptable.
What made the situation even worse was the lack of professionalism and empathy from the manager, Stacey. She was rude, dismissive, and offered no help or solutions. There was no attempt to accommodate us or even show basic understanding of the situation we were in.
To make matters worse, due to the cherry blossom festival and a convention happening at the time, there were no available hotels nearby. We were left scrambling to find last-minute accommodations with exhausted children, completely on our own.
The complete lack of communication and customer care is unacceptable. Canceling a reservation without notifying a guest is already bad enough, but the way this situation was handled made it far worse. This experience has completely turned me off from ever booking with this hotel ever again.
We enjoyed our stay. Great location right on the corner from the Metro station. Staff was friendly, room was clean, and breakfast was on par with other hotel breakfasts. The only thing that would have made the stay better was the option to have a rollaway bed. Otherwise, we would stay here again.
