We loved our stay at the Poppy. A family of 4, we booked the Poppy suite and had more than enough room for 2 adults, 2 teens and all of our luggage. The teens loved the complimentary drinks and snack bar, which was always stocked with juices and fresh fruit. The outdoor area was beautiful. I would thoroughly recommend this guesthouse to anyone travelling to DC.

Stay here if you want a Georgetown neighborhood experience and feel like a resident. Area is spectacular, walkable. Hotel staff is attentive, excellent respite from the usual commercial hotel experience.

We really enjoyed our stay. Located in a beautiful neighborhood and very walkable to all main streets of Georgetown. The room was cozy and clean and the perfect size for a couples weekend. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast options were also yummy.

A nice and cozy hotel located in a pleasant neighborhood. It would be even better if there were more staff available to assist guests with using the amenities. Just note that there aren’t many dining options around—there’s only one restaurant nearby, and it’s pretty pricey.
