A very quaint Inn in a nice neighborhood walkable to the Foggy Bottom Metro with a nice restaurant. The personnel was ready to help with great suggestions of their neighborhood. Would most definitely stay there again 😎

The unusual thing about the River Inn is literally every employee, front desk, bellman, food service & room cleaning go out of their way to be friendly and extremely helpful. Even the small things, heading toward the elevator? They push the call button. Need hot water? Here it is. Need a recommendation? They ask a couple of questions and you get all the details. Heading for the door? Anybody in the vicinity opens it. Don't see this as consistently at the Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton!

Nice hotel and staff but the room was not appropriately heated (AC and heat are available based on a pre-set calendar) so I had to wear a jacket at all times in my room, which was very inconvenient. Only learned this once at the hotel (after I already paid online). Careful around in-between seasons
