Such a place resides along Highway 579 in Alberta - the Water Valley Saloon. This eclectic stop along the highway is loved by locals and bikers passing through on their way to the Rocky Mountains. The food is great and so is the service. You will feel right at home in this cozy haunt. Don't forget to get your free basket of peanuts so you can toss the shells on the floor after your feast.

"The property is a very nice property and very clean. We were very comfortable. Three couples stayed there together and only three bedrooms were granted access. It would have been better that the master suite would have been one of the rooms so there was access to three washrooms. And, a better documentation of amenities available makes it easier to plan what is needed to be brought. We really enjoyed the stay and would stay there again. "

"There were eight of us staying at the property. The furniture is very sparse, old, stained, and or broken. There is very little glassware and cutlery. On my first evening there, I had to eat my steak dinner with a spoon. There were only wine glasses and coffee cups, no other kind of glassware. "He photos are misleading - one feels they are renting a beautiful retreat. It isn’t. The cottage is run down, with a large burn on the dining room table, holes in the sitting room ottoman, and a worn out couch that we all found incredibly uncomfortable.
