"Switches for lights are not easy to find, no ice, towels would be more accessible if they were on the shelf on the wall, no microwave, no indoor pool. For the price of the hotel, I was surprised there was no pool and microwave. What was great: food, breakfast and dinner, it’s a clean and quiet place, close to Union train/metro station. "

"No one is available to assist with any issues. Booked a refundable room and flight was delayed. They gave room away even though it was paid for already. No room when arrived. NO one available at property it work through issue. Still have not refunded the stay. Hotel is fine, if very small, if you don't have to actually contact staff."

"Best place to stay in dc. On the river where the nightlife is, but not far away from all the touristy/iconic spots. It was just logistically perfect. The room was nice, big, and clean. The concierge couldn’t be better. The desk staff was a hit or miss though. They were either the best ever or the worst. It was apparent the bad ones missed the training bc it is obvious this hotel wants to stand out for its great hospitality. I just wanted a coffee cup. Never got one. "

"Deceptive Photos & Poor Value – A Warning for Professionals I am extremely disappointed with my stay at The Hamilton. The marketing photos are completely deceiving. The room is tiny, congested, and has a very strong, unpleasant odor. It feels like an old, poorly maintained building rather than the premium experience advertised. To make matters worse, breakfast at Via Sophia is a total rip-off. I paid $24 (after a mandatory 18% tip and tax) for a tiny, shallow plate of oatmeal that wouldn't fill a child. Serving such small portions at these prices is insulting to professional travelers. The room smells, the food is overpriced, and the 'amenities' feel like a scam. Save your money and stay elsewhere."

"Perfect location for restaurants, and venues. The metro was a 3 minute walk away to get to all the museums and monuments. Staff were all friendly and kind. Only complaint was one of the USB ports by the bed was loose so I had to use a different spot to charge electronics, but there were plenty of working ports."
