The room was very well appointed and located. The furniture and bed was comfortable. The only reason it's getting 4 stars instead of 5 stars is that the water pressure in the shower was really low and the temperature didn't get hot (warm enough but not but a lot).

Great stay at ROOST White House. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and spacious room. Comfortable. Quiet. Close to great restaurants and walking distance to DC monuments and night life. Parking at the public garage off 14th Street saved us $50.

The rooms are nice I stayed with my wife and daughter for 2 nights.It is a great location for sight seeing 10 to 20 minute walk to the national mall and close to good restaurantsand venues. I made a mistake when booking and didn't say 3 of us were staying so had to wait a day for a second set of sheets not to bad but never got a second comforter. I have a feeling they have off site laundry or something similar. But i also booked the 1 bedroom with den that says on the site sleeps 3. I assumed it would have beding for 3 in room. I also had to ask for coffe filters for the coffee maker in room. So in all a little tightening up on the room amenties would be nice. Other than that the staff was nice the place was very clean, spacious and quiet. More like an air bnb or apartment than a hotel.

The room looked brand new and everything in it was top tier: wine fridge, fancy coffee grinder, 65" Samsung TV... I was impressed. My only criticism is that it was a large, slippery step in and out of the shower. For a room that was listed as handicapped accessible, I would have tried to make that a smaller step up or at least install a handrail to make it easier. Otherwise, it was a great experience.

My stay at The Roost D.C. was exceptional from start to finish. Check‑in was seamless, and I was provided with a key along with clear, detailed instructions for building and elevator access, plus easy‑to-follow Wi‑Fi information. I booked a premium one‑bedroom apartment, and it exceeded expectations. The space felt more like a well-appointed home than a hotel room. The full kitchen was stocked with every utensil I could need, along with a wine fridge, full‑size refrigerator with an ice maker, filtered water, coffee maker, toaster, and even an in‑unit washer and dryer. The separate seating area and full living room made it incredibly comfortable for both work and relaxation. Small touches made a big difference—two laundry pods, dish detergent, a broom, and multiple trash cans were all provided. Storage was abundant, with generous closet and shelving space in the hallway, bedroom, and bathroom. The apartment was spotless, with plenty of fresh towels, controllable AC and heat, and a Bluetooth speaker for added convenience. The smart TVs already had the most common apps downloaded, which made unwinding in the evenings effortless. The building itself was impressively quiet, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful.

The fully equipped apartments are very nice and would be a great value, but the bed was very hard, and there was construction that started at 7am below my room. Front Desk just said, "We're sorry." Won't be back.

The room itself was beautiful. Our sheets and blankets had some suspicious stains on them but we were even able to look past that. However, it was hard to look past the unbearable front desk staff. The ladies working there probably need a refresher on the rules and policies of their workplace. When I arrived someone told me the room was ready but was waiting for inspection, and another person told me the room is booked out? I waited hours before getting a room and then finally she asked my name and said “oh wait this has been ready…” ???? They tried to charge me $100 for parking and when I mentioned it was already paid for she laughed and said “oops” without even double checking ??? She told us check out was at 1:00 pm and at 12:30 management was knocking on my door asking us to leave because check out was at 12:00??? No extra towels, no extra blankets. Pretty sure staff was high. Beautiful room, terrible service.

I was fortunate to stay at ROOST White House the 2nd day after the White House location had opened. The experience was entirely positive.The front desk staff was extremely friendly and assisted me with car parking via underground garage and directions to the room. The room itself was a 1 BR suite with kitchen / living area, large bathroom with walk-in shower, and a good sized bedroom. All furnishings were brand new and high-end. The kitchen was well equipped, and suitable for a multi-week stay. There were 2 large TVs in the unit with DirectTV included. My unit #211 was very quiet and conveniently located to the elevator. I look forward to visiting again soon.
