Great room and great location! The bed was so comfortable too. We appreciated the quiet town, every time we came back after touring other towns it was a relief!
Beautiful property, easy virtual check-in. No elevator so make sure you can carry your bags up and down the stairs easily. Great view of the town and canal, loved it! Would definitely stay here again.
Wonderful, relaxing, well designed room with AC, sumptuous bedding, well insulated against noise, convenient, cozy restaurant downstairs for breakfast and dinner, all right in the heart of a charming town with many bridges and canals to stroll along.
Lovely hotel, beautiful view and comfortable beds!
1 night stay, wish it had been longer. The room was spacious with lots of amenities. The bed overlooks a lovele canal and town. The bed is also very comfortable! Would definitely stay again!!!
Beautiful room!! Fabulous gigantic soaking bathtub!!! Comfortable and very clean with a cool sky light. I didn't realize it was ONLY self check in. But it worked out easy. A beautiful town as well.
15 mins from Amsterdam by train,
10 minute walk from Weesp station.,
Very nice and relaxed, many bars and restaurants, family and couple friendly, open late despite the close nature to homes, real taste of the Dutch way of life to relax outside of Amsterdam. Highly recommend the area, hotel and bar restaurant below.
Great location, Weesp is a very charming, quiet, safe small town outside of Amsterdam with easy access to Amsterdam by public transport. The Hotel is upstairs of a nice cafe (no elevators). Mind there is no reception and you need a smartphone to access the rooms (if you have that, it´s easy). A bottle of complimentary water in the room would have topped the experience ;-) All in all, a great place to stay.
Great small boutique hotel in the centre of beautiful Weesp. Shops and cafes are within a short walk. Rooms are beautiful, comfortable bed and great bathroom. The cafe bar restaurant downstairs is excellent. Friendly staff and great snack and full menu. Only small drawback is absence of a lift!
Best hotel we've stayed at! Very clean, Smart TV, great shower and large room, great area for a relaxing holiday.
The only downside are that there is no elevator, no Netflix (but Google Chromecast so not too big of a deal), and no actual front desk so it may take a little until you hear back from the property management.
Other than that we had an amazing stay here and were very sad that we had to leave.
I have traveled a lot to the Netherlands to visit friends and usually stay in Hilversum. This time my wife and I decided to change things up and stay in Weesp. Such a charming town on the river and with lovely canals and great spaces to sit outside and enjoy dinner and drinks. The hotel location was great. A short walk from the train station and from the river and several places to eat and drink. We loved exploring Weesp from this location and getting back on the training and getting back to Amsterdam. There is no front desk. Everything is done in advance with good communication and a digital key. I was worried at first but this turned out to be just fine and easy to use. We ate downstairs one evening at the restaurant (not part of the hotel) and enjoyed it very much, especially dining outside on the terrace. The room was very nice, modern but still had that old Dutch home feel. The only negative for us was that the pillows could be more comfortable.
This is a really beautiful hotel, the room was lovely and spacious and very comfortable. Check-in is done online and the key is sent to your phone which I found very convenient. The room was spotless and very well equipped, with a kettle, coffee machine and small fridge, plus a good selection of tea and coffee. There were also wine glasses and water glasses. The bathroom had a full selection of toiletries included. Additionally some biscuits from the local area were left on arrival which were delicious. The hotel is situated right in the centre of town and is convenient for all of the shops and restaurants, and less than 10 minutes walk from the station. I found it to be very quiet and peaceful in the room despite this. The view over the canal and square was also lovely. The restaurant downstairs from the hotel is a separate business but has very friendly staff and really good opening hours (even on Easter day) so would recommend for coffee/drinks/food. Given that Weesp is less than 20 minutes from Amsterdam on the train, I would really recommend it for those looking to sightsee but have somewhere quieter to return to. I would definitely stay here again if returning to Weesp.
Wow, what a beautiful hotel in a beautiful town. This historical hotel has been upgraded inside with all the modern amenities you need including, A/C, refrigerator, comfortable bed and blackout curtains. The cafe was directly below us but the room is almost soundproof and we did not hear any noise from the cafe.
One thing to consider before booking is the hotel is located on the second floor of this building. You enter through the cafe and there is a door in the cafe that takes you into the hotel portion. After cafe hours there is an outside entrance that can be accessed. There are 20 stairs that you take to the second floor, the stairs are steep and have a narrow step surface. Climbing these with suitcases is a little difficult. However, if the stairs don’t deter you you will be rewarded with a room that is clean, fresh and views that are postcard perfect.
The staff in the cafe was warm and welcoming as was all the restaurants and shops we visited in Weesp. This town has shopping, a lot of choices for dining, nature trails you can walk, bike paths, and while we were there a village market fair.
This hotel and town will not disappoint you.
We had some difficulties with renting electric bikes or scooters from third parties (registration problems with the apps). Nothing serious.
It would be useful to have a cloth or kitchen paper in the room to clean cups and glasses yourself. Unfortunately, the kettle had not been emptied and cleaned of limescale, and the Illy coffee machine had not been emptied and cleaned. One pod broke, and we didn't trust using another one.
There are many basic advantages: a very comfortable and large bed (king size), fresh and spotless bed linen and towels, good toiletries, a large, efficient and very clean shower, excellent and adjustable lighting throughout the room and bathroom, and the air conditioning was perfect for cooling or heating and was not very noisy.
The two large windows overlooking the canal were very beautiful, which was rich in flowering water lilies and some species of ducks.
The area is very quiet and the soundproofing is one of the best.
The Eendracht Bar Restaurant is well worth a visit, with excellent food, a beautiful setting, and service staff who are always friendly, cordial and efficient overall, despite the very young experience of some of the waitresses.
The town is very pretty, every service is very efficient, and the care taken over the buildings, streets and street furniture is enviable. The whole experience was very positive, I would say wonderful, and we will definitely repeat it, depending on our dates and the availability of the hotel.
Best regards.
Lovely small hotel with top quality fittings. Everything was beautifully presented. The town of Weesp is delightful with lots of nice restaurants and boutique shops. We would love to come back. My only regret is that we didn't have one of the rooms overlooking the canal.
