"Quiet. That is the number one thing we came for, and we got that, here. Just a short distance from town, main highway and all, but sitting outside of this cottage, all one hears is.... Nature. Love it!This place was very charming with a lot of character. It's a very old house at its core - 1890's ish, I think. And with that, you are going to have old-house traits: Creaky, uneven floors, low ceilings (I'm 6'1", and had to be just a little careful in some doorways. Never had to duck, tho!).... No worries, there are newer floors, newer carpet, newer paint. The heater works great! The kitchen is fully equipped. Good wifi, and it reaches outside. "This was such a great place to stay for our visit to the PA Grand Canyon. The hotel was very cool, the staff super friendly, nice breakfast included in the am. Wonderful dinner in the tavern inside. Parking right out back and everything in town you could walk to. I would return here in a heartbeat next time I come to Wellsboro!"
