"Mixed feelings about this place but no doubting the great price for a surprisingly good room with ensuite! Menu choice not great for vegetarians but food ok breakfast was good, cooked to order and better than expected. The downside is that it feels a bit like a locals drinking pub so as a lone female wouldn't have used the bar or bought food. Great bargain option for a one night stay though!"

"Right in the center of town and an easy walk from the train station in Barnstaple. Everything is right there in walking distance and it's all just as funky and charming and welcoming as can be! The hotel's foundation has sunken a bit (or more in some places) which is charming but a little disconcerting if you're thinking you might fall out of bed!"

"Really helpful friendly staff. Clean room ensuit with TV coffee etc. Extensive continental breakfast with service. Wide choice fresh delicious food for breakfast. Very dog friendly with happy relaxed atmosphere and friendly. Local bar with full range of beers wines and spirits at reasonable prices. Parking free on site."
