"This Biulding oozes history and charm. While it is clearly a little tired and basic on the accommodation, which is reflected in the price. The breakfast was exceptional and amazing value! "From the moment we arrived Carol made us feel welcomed. She showed us to our room and explained meals times. She made us feel so at home. The room was cosy and decorated in the style of the coaching inn. Dark furnishings and a king sized bed. Lots of drawers to store clothes and a good sized wardrobe too. "Although ideally located I was surprised to discover on arrival at circa 1800h on a Sunday evening that no food was available and worse still they have stopped serving breakfast altogether. I found out about the lack of breakfast on reading a notice pinned to the inside of the door to the room. I was told that The Bear have been unable to amend their website!!! Despite being invited to check in online I did not receive any notification about the lack of catering. There were no alternative food...
