"Place is immaculate, so clean, staff was super friendly, only downside was the bed was small, I’m 6ft 2 and my feet kinda hung off the end, I think it’s just a double, but I’m used to a super King so probably felt even smaller to me. Enjoyable short stay, liked the feel of the hotel, simple and very clean. 😁"

"Unfortunately our room lock was malfunctioning so we couldn’t lock our door properly. I did report it as we left so hopefully the next guests didn’t have this problem. There was a very slight aroma of vomit in our room but it was warm so we opened the window and sprayed some deodorant on the carpet and it did the trick. We have stayed here several times and would stay again due to location and free parking."

"Ideal location for bars and restaurants. Room was lovely and it is a grand Hotel that is showing signs of age. All in all a good stay. The breakfast was an added bonus and very nice."

"I was very impressed with price for great room and breakfast. Was central to all the walking we wanted to do. Following a Mystery Guide puzzle walk, then comedy magic at Smoke & Mirrors, then great food at the Himalayan, then 3 hours busy at SS Great Britain dockyard Hotel Bristil was perfect location for our stay. Would happily use again"

"Excellent hotel with efficient and friendly staff. We were upgraded to a lovely room on a higher floor. Large suite with great views.A quality breakfast was also included in the price."

"The reception staff in the evening were lovely, chatty and very helpful, the morning staff were quite short and terse. The pool facilities were ideal and again friendly and helpful staff. I was on my own, but I felt very comfortable and safe there. I will definitely stay there again."
